Made a reservation here for my birthday and was not disappointed! The food was terrific. Not one complaint about anything we ordered, and we ordered ALOT, Here are the items ordered: Bbq nachos, alligator fries, wagyu sliders, fried chicken wings, the biscuits (amazing!!), the beignets, and a few drinks. My favorite drink was the Prosecco sorbet (so yummy and refreshing!). My only real feedback here is to keep ketchup at the table. It's super busy in there so asking for ketchup, took awhile! Usually restaurants keep ketchup at the table anyway. Something to be mindful of- you can only hold a table for an hour and half even with a reservation. I thought that was really odd but upon walking in, we were told we only had that amount of time before they needed the table for another party. That's never happened to me before and if the service and food wasn't so good, I wouldn't return because who likes feeling rushed? Especially for a special occasion like a birthday dinner you chose them for.

Buttermilk & Bourbon is a must visit. This Sunday brunch was so unique in the way they style "classic american" foods. Their signature biscuits were light and fluffy, but also that a great hot honey sauce & butter. Additionally, these beignets were served with an amazing chocolate dipping sauce! Our server was so nice and accommodating to our diet restrictions too! We had a great time and would definitely visit again in the summer given the outdoor seating is open.

Buttermilk & Bourbon was quite busy for a Wednesday evening! A reservation was made ahead of time for 6 of us pretty easily. All the dishes there are served tapas style and are made to share. The cocktail menu was extensive and pretty good. The service was quick. It was a little loud and hard to have good conversation due to how many people there were in the restaurant. The buttermilk fried chicken was a disappointment. However, I did enjoy the shrimp tapas and the biscuits. For my drink, I ordered a Smokey Dame. I really enjoyed it and it was not watered down. Since this is close to Newbury, street, parking was difficult to find.

Great date night spot with both indoors and outdoor seating. Inside has a rustic white brick and ivy thing going. We order several things to share and they were all delicious. The baby back ribs were fall off the bone tender and the coleslaw underneath was perfection. The New Orleans shrimp was tender and slightly spicy. My favorite dish of the night was the baked Brie which came with toasty bread, candied nuts and peaches. We tried their house special fried chicken with white BBQ sauce. It was juicy inside and crispy outside but not too special compared to everything else. For desserts the beignets were freshly fried and coated with powdered sugar. Super crunchy. They were very busy when we sat down but we got our food order placed pretty quickly. We did have to wait quite a while for water refills and we brought the check to the front desk to pay because we couldn't find our waiter.

We had an awesome Father's Day brunch at Buttermilk & Bourbon when we were in Boston a week and a half ago. We walked in and were able to get a table mid-morning. The place was busy and the service was top notch as well as the food. The restaurant is located in the basement and you walk down the steps from the street. It's located right on Boston Common, which is a lovely area of town. I started with a Creole Old Fashioned for Father's Day. It was delicious and I copied the recipe and will try and make one at home one day. We ordered the homemade honey glazed biscuits which were delicious. My son ordered the Wagyu Beef Sliders, he enjoyed them. I ordered the Brisket Benedict and a side of Jalapeno Grits. Both were delicious and the eggs were done right. My wife and her mother split an order of Chicken and Waffles. They enjoyed that as well. There were so many great choices on the menu and we bookmarked this place for a future visit!! And after eating all of that, you can take a nice stroll on the Commons after to walk it all off.

This place was wonderful. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day but the inside was gorgeous as well! Everything we had was on point, delicious. Our favorites were the wings, ahi tuna and the Cajun old fashioned. One of the best we've had. Service was great, attentive and helpful with recommendations.

A "Southern food tapas" place with great service and creative menu. Loved their little outdoor patio - it felt intimate while being able to enjoy the fresh air. My two girlfriends and I each got a pina colada mocktail which was very refreshing (but tasted more like a lime spritzer). We shared their famous biscuits, the BBQ pork nachos, their fried chicken (boneless thighs), and their Mac and cheese. Four dishes was actually quite a lot of food for three people - we had plenty left over to take home. As I was expecting, their biscuits were heavenly (and very filling so I'd recommend not eating an entire biscuit first thing otherwise you might not have room for the rest)! I also really liked the fried chicken which has several sauces to choose from (we got sweet and sour which was great). The nachos and mac & cheese weren't bad but not worth writing home about. The servers did a good job of checking in on us periodically and were very friendly. Would come back for another fun dinner out!

Went there for weekend brunch. Easy to get reservation for a party of four just a day ahead. They also now have outdoor seating now that the weather has warmed up. Their house special buttermilk chicken thighs was chef's kiss. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful! Also all the portions were huge. The benny my friends had was cooked to perfection as well. Also had a moonflower cocktail (not pictures) which pairs perfectly with the food. Good vibes, good food. (8.5/10)

I was on Newbury around dinner time and decided to try this restaurant. I appreciated how the music wasn't too loud so you could still have a conversation. Viet-Cajun Watermelon & Cucumber Salad - the salad was very unique and the flavors surprisingly worked. The sauce had a little bit of kick to it but the watermelon, cucumber, and mint helped tone down the spice. This was my favorite dish of the night! Signature Warm Honey Glazed Biscuits - the biscuits were glazed with honey on the top and soft and fluffy on the inside. The pimento cheese spread was my favorite but the smoked cinnamon butter was also very good. Fried Chicken (wings) with sweet & spicy sauce - the sauce wasn't my favorite because the spices weren't balanced. It tasted very tangy with a little bit of spice. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside.
